The United Methodist Church is a connectional church – a covenant community dedicated to uphold the church with prayers, presence, gifts and service.
All persons are welcome in the United Methodist Church – the slogan is Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors – we celebrate a diversity of people, ideas and cultures.
We support worldwide ecumenical and educational ministries. For generations United Methodists have cooperated with other churches to spread the gospel, care for those in need, alleviate injustice and foster peace around the world. For more than 200 years, the United Methodist Church and its predecessors have worked to help the poor, the sick, the orphaned, the aging, the oppressed and the imprisoned. Often it is UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee On Relief, that is first on the scene of natural and man-made disasters.
Here in Boonton, the United Methodist Church financially supports shared ministries, donates items needed by UMCOR, is raising money for Sandy Relief, and is currently providing Kiva loans to women in developing nations.
